In August and September, rich red, feathery plumes rise over the clump of leaves, slowly fading to silvery-buff and persisting into late autumn. Chinese silver grass Red Cloud is ideal for the smaller garden teamed with late-flowering perennials, and is also good in containers for a more formal look.
