Cane fruits, fruiting on 2nd year wood, they must be trained on wires like summer raspberries. The variety LY59 is easy to grow and particularly good for cooking and jam-making. The plant is moderately vigorous (though slightly less than the thorny variety) with, arching canes, and will produce for about 15 years. The fruit is longer, darker and juicier than a raspberry, tart, deep purple when ripe, and produced for several weeks in August and September. For best flavour, pick loganberries when fully ripe.

Site: Some shelter
Soil: Rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil
Position: Crops best in full sun
Pick: August, September
Keep: Does not keep; freezes well
Hardiness: Hardy
Pollination: Self-fertile
Uses: Cooking, preserving
Height: 6’ (1.8m) Spread: 8’ (2.5m)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0818/1540/4801/files/Loganberry-01_9882d937-a07a-48bd-9401-cf09ed6727ca.jpg?v=1777966020
