Fermanagh and also in Co Tyrone. The fruit is round, flattened and slightly uneven, pale yellow with a golden to orange blush, slight russet veining, and a remarkably waxy or ‘greasy’ skin, which helps it to resist water-loss. The flesh is creamy-white, firm and crisp, fairly juicy, sweet and well flavoured. The fruit sweetens in store, and little sugar is needed when it’s used for cooking.
